Plastic Text

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to make a really cool, modern text effect but quite simple, mostly using layer styles
Create a new document in which you can make your text, use a size about 450x300 pixels. Use the Horizontal Type Tool to write down your text, remember to set your text color to #0FA1FD

Right click the text layer and go into the Blending Options (or double click on it) to bring up the Layer Style dialog, choose the following settings:
 + Drop Shadow:
PlasticText2
 + Inner Glow:
PlasticText3
 + Bevel and Emboss:
PlasticText4
+ Contour (inside Bevel and Emboss):
PlasticText5
 + Satin:

Your text will look like this:
 PlasticText7
Repeat this technique again to create another text, named Style and place it under "Plastic" text
 PlasticText7b
(You can right click on the Plastic layer, select Copy Layer Style then right click on Style layer and select Paste Layer Style)
Double click on the Style text layer to open up Layer Style dialog again, we will use one more style on this layer to change its color. As you guess, we will use Gradient Overlay, which produces a gradient color on our text:

And now you can see the result. Looks pretty cool, doesn't it? Smile

This tutorial is simple and you can complete within just a few minutes. I often use it to bring a modern, warming feeling to my audience. Thanks for reading this tutorial!
